Dungeons & Dragons has been around since 1974, during which time the tabletop RPG’s makers have released multiple editions of the game, as well as dozens of modules. That’s impressive and all, but it does make picking a starting point rather difficult, whether it’s your first time playing or it’s been a decade since you last rolled for initiative. Wizards Of The Coast has taken a little of the guess work out of that equation with the release of Tales From The Yawning Portal, a collection of some of the most famous dungeons in D&D history. They include Against The Giants, Dead In Thay, Forge Of Fury, Hidden Shrine Of Tamoachan, Sunless Citadel, Tomb Of Horrors, and the beyond challenging White Plume Mountain.

To enter for a chance to win one of two copies of the book, email avcontests@theonion.com with the subject line “The Yawning Portal.” Be sure to include your name and mailing address in the body of the email. U.S. entrants only. On Wednesday, April 12, we’ll select two winners from our eligible entries and notify them shortly thereafter.

A word of advice for you fearless adventurers: Though these are classic adventures that span the various editions of the game, this particular collection is for use with the fifth edition Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, and Dungeon Master’s Guide. The collection is now available everywhere, including game stores.
